Our artisan sausages, prime rib burgers, and in-house peameal bacon sandwiches are only the
beginning. Our menu includes gourmet offerings like Korean short ribs with grilled broccolini, lobster
roll with side of slaw and potato chips, butterflied bbq chicken breast served on a broche bun with
apple smoked bacon and Havarti cheese, or perhaps our famous prime rib on a kaiser bun with crispy
onions, portobello mushroom, garlic aioli and a side of potato salad. We can’t forget about the long line

propane deep fryer).

maker in our store. We are looking for a gift basket maker for the holiday season and possibly beyond.
You must be friendly, creative and have a desire to do your best at your job. Job responsibilities include
making gift baskets and wrapping them. You can work independently, and also alongside a small team
to get the orders completed on time.
Role Requirements
• Make gift baskets with various themes and sizes
• Gather materials and prepare baskets for assembly
• Take products provided and assemble them to match a prototype basket
• Wrap baskets in cellophane, tape shut and tie up with a bow
• Move baskets to retail sales areas for merchandising
• Clean and organize work space at the completion of each shift

Commercial Production Kitchen - Baker

The Baker works in our production facility located at 111 Finchdene Square in Scarborough, Ontario. This role is responsible for assisting in the production of high-quality, made-from-scratch food products in a precise and efficient manner.

Role Requirements
• Graduate of a certified baking program at an accredited college

Building Maintenance Personel

POSITION TITLE: Building Maintenance Person (24 - 32 hours per week)

The Building Maintenance person works within the Village Grocer (Markham) & Village Kitchen
(Scarborough) properties and is responsible for the general maintenance and internal/external up-keep,
operation and appearance of our retail and production facilities.
Role Requirements
• Experience with commercial handyman practices such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry,
masonry, HVAC and renovation practices
• Custodial, welding and refrigeration experience an asset
• Shifts are typically 6-8 hours per day and may be adjusted based on demands and duties
• Work schedule is 3 to 4 days per week (urgent situations or requirements may require additional
days/hours)

Truck Driver

POSITION TITLE: Truck Driver (32 – 40 hours per week)

The Village Grocer truck driver works within the produce department and is responsible for pick-up
and delivery of food products at the Ontario Food Terminal. Using the company truck(s), the driver
makes early morning trips to the food terminal where they load pallets of fruit and produce for
transport back to our store in Markham.
Role Requirements
• Holds a valid DZ driver’s license
• 3-4 years of driving experience
• Forklift certificate and able to operate a pallet truck
• Early riser and able to work early mornings

account, assist with customer communications and other responsibilities in the store. You will be responsible
for overseeing our popular weekly feature flyer, creating original text and video content, managing posts and

As our social media coordinator, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social

The Gardener is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of gardens and green spaces to create a welcoming and visually appealing environment .We require an individual to assist with the planting and maintenance of our home flower and vegetable garden, Koi pond, and orchard. This can be seasonal or permanent, as you wish.
